Data Center Solution

Business Case Study

Purpose of the project

South Africa has passed a law stating that companies must adhere to the POPIA Act in terms of storing their clients’ personal information. The law states that people’s personal information may not be shared without their consent and that it may no longer be stored in data centres outside of South Africa. Therefore, it is necessary to find local data centres in order to adhere to these regulations.

Data Center Solution-20

The Dilema

Due to the fact that information may no longer be shared and stored in foreign data centres, it presents companies with the problem of finding a local data centre where information can be stored. The second problem is that there are not many local data centers to choose from.

The Solution

At Providence Software solutions we have a knowledgeable team and sufficient resources to be able to store this private information in our data centers.
Providence already has data centres based in Durban, Johannesburg, and Cape Town which are all classified as local data centres, therefore complying with the POPIA Act and also solving the problem of data storage.
